Jim Warman
http://www.ridgid.com/seesnakemicro/ neener neener neener...... Too big to be a borescope but I think it's going to be pretty handy.... If nothing else, I can now delve in to the exciting world of proctology... perhaps even making money off what used to be simply a hobby.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
DwayneGorniak
Nice. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif How much Jim? And if it is too big to be used as a boroscope, what will you use it for? Our shop has that old piece of rotunda Boroscope that is just way too big to be usefull. Keith Browning
Looks like they are around $200 'Merican. Whats cool is it is part of a whole line of SeeSnake tools and they call it Micro for a reason. They have long plumbers snakes that are actually these optical lenses attached to monitors. Imagine sitting on the toilet and having one of these pop up? Now THAT would be a hobby! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/icon_crazy.gif
Jim Warman
This was $274 CAD from one of our industrial suppliers... haven't had the chance to look at what they have for accessories yet. Used it the day I got it to inspect turbo fins without removing the intake duscting... For my wonky old eyes, this thing beats the bejayzus out of our dorky little borescope. Don't tell anyone.... but I think this might be my "feminine side" surfacing... When my loving bride feels "in one of those moods", she buys a new purse or pair of shoes (she has so much "nothing to wear" that her closet rod collapsed at one time). I, OTOH, browse tool departments....
SteveS
Wow Jim, that is pretty cool! I am curious if it can take snapshots? I didn't see it on the website, looks like it is only real-time. Still, it looks like a handy tool. Steve
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
So Jim does this qualify as your new tool FIX?????
Jim Warman
Steve.... no snapshots..... still good without the feature... Larry... like a true "junkie" one is too many and a thousands not enough.... I can't ever tell when I might look at something and be overwhelmed... One week it was those fan clutch wrenches that you use with an air hammer... http://tinyurl.com/27ezwx Another week it was a pressure gauge set like in one of Bruces pics.... Auctions, pawn shops, lumber yards, department stores - there is no "safe" place for me.... I'm looking for a 12 step program...... LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Alright I figured out who makes all the money. Our Strap-on guy just pulled in with a brand new truck. A Freightliner Century Class M-2,Benz powered. Decked out with all the goodies. I definitely won't be buying anything from him just to pay for his truck. Can you say hello Sears.
