Rock, just keep a cam sensor and 10mm socket and rachet in ure glove box if you get it LoL

This quote from over in the 6.4l section reminded me of a time I had to fly down to SC and pick up a truck to drive back to Vermont. First thing I did was load up my bag with a cam sensor and some tools for the ol' glove box on the return trip.

The truck was a '93 F-350 that I put a 7.3 from a '00 Excursion and a 6 sp from a '99 F-350 into. I had to move while I was still working on it so I made a return trip to get it and finish it.

I have a ton of pictures detailing the process and could use some input on how to make a little web page so you guys could go to to check it out. It turned out really nice for what it was worth.

That is awesome. I would love to see some pictures of that. If you ever get the web site going let us know. Maybe keith could help you get some pictures on here. How tough was it to get the wiring to work?

It was fairly labor intensive, about a third of the total time was spent on the wiring. The instrument cluster was shot also so I used the Excursion cluster and had to rewire all of the interior to make it work. The junk yard sent the guy a complete truck basically and he had the wiring from front to back. I lopped the ends off the three connectors that go thru the firewall and spliced them all into the 76 pin connector in the original truck. If I had to do it all over again I would have kept the three connectors intact and cut out a panel in the firewall for them to bolt thru like on an '00 model.

If you still have '93-'94 model evtms, you can look at the 76 pin connector (C202) and see it has large pins around the perimeter and small pins filling the interior of the connector. I had to reassign all those locations with the new harness making sure I had the proper size wire employed to carry the amount of amperage it needed (60 amp fuses to the ignition switch, headlamps, ect.).

Another interesting note on the instrument cluster, the old one has a PSOM to figure out the vss input for the speedometer. Well an '00 Excursion uses the abs module to accomplish this. My '93 has rabs only. After much though I overcame this hurdle by removing the PSOM unit from the factory cluster and taping it up and stuffing it into the corner and using the output wire to the pcm/speed control module and sending it to the new cluster on the wire that normally came from the abs unit.
