Hempstead
I just lifted my first excursion body today and was wondering if the body bolts are suppose to be different head size from side to side. Lifting the body is the best I wish I started lifting cabs years ago.
G. Bedford
I seem to remember using a 24mm socket on the drivers side bolts and a 21 mm socket on those on the passenger side. It's been awhile since I did a excursion, though.

Hempstead
Thanks! I was hopeing that was the way they were suppose to be and not some misbuilt truck.
snw blue by you
Completely normal. I've asked why but have yet to recieve an answer. Now, on an '08 if you have to access the nuts, they are all 21mm and BTW if you get involved in one of these, the second set of nuts (under the drivers and passengers footwells) can be accessed just like you would on the previous generation bodies. Do not! I repeat, do not try and access them as instructed in the TSB, (Remove inner fender and access through hole) It is an aggravating waste of time. Brad Clayton
I think the factory only has one 21 mm socket and they got tired of passing the air gun back and forth.
