jbarnett31
this is probably an easy question but i just want a second opinion. this 06 f-250 has no start no crank, with codes p1705, p0706, and p0707, i perform ssm 19487 but at pin 21 i have 12 volts with cooling fan clutch connected or disconnected. engine will still not crank with fan clutch disconnected. i got it to crank once after i plugged the trans connector back up. have you ran into this and would you say it still has a problem in the fan clutch. Keith Browning
The PCM controlls cranking via a relay. It will not crank with the trans disconnected I should think. Does it start with just the fan clutch disconnected?
jbarnett31
no it does not crank with the fan clutch disconnected and it cranked after i reconnected the trans connector, i didnt try to crank it with the trans disconnected, you must have missunderstood. slim
I've had several internal trans harness failures but only on Econolines. I don't know why not f-series but I could never see anything wrong with them but after replacement no more problems. They also usually set TFT codes. I think it's something with the bulkhead connector in the trans. Hope that helps out some. Good Luck.
