Jeff_
Well, I've never run across this before in my travels. I'm replacing a Hp pump in an 03 7.3 F350 and I apparently have 2 possible pump to cover gaskets to choose from. The one on the left is the one that came with the reman pump, and the one on the right is identical to the one I just removed from the truck. Does anyone know why there is a difference, and what will happen if i choose wrong????? snw blue by you
For my money I'd use the the style that was already installed. Is there anything different about the pump?
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Jeff use only the one on the right side, the left side is for the older syle pump F4TZ-BRM. If the left side gasket came with the pump I think you should check that you got the correct pump as well.
Jeff_
Thanks guys, I used the one on the right (like what I removed) and it runs great. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif
Jeff_
The pumps appeared to be identical
Keith Browning
Look on page 43 of the 98 99.5 7.3 DIT Direct Injection Turbocharged Diesel coffee table book. It has the explanation and photographs. Oh, the book is 39Mb so it will take a few minutes to download depending on you Internet connection. The coffee table books are accessible on the lower right of this page under Tech Recourses.
