snw blue by you
Late '04 550, 37,800 miles. 2000 since FQR 6.0 install at another dealer. Starts normal when cold runs good for awile, stalls, then long crank or even no start. Quality is job none.... Remember there is only 2K on this rebuild. Dummies didn't torque down the tube bolts, they were finger tight. Just thought you'd like to know.

Mekanik
Wow, I can't believe that is only from 2000 miles.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
If the bolts were only finger tight, I don't see how it made it 2000 miles???? I think that they were tightened but not torqued, and shook themselves loose. Could be another reason to open a thread on the value of the "TORQUE WRENCH" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
snw blue by you
True enough Larry. However, this was an FQR long block which comes with the HPOP. Maybe I'm wrong but you would think there is a calibrated air or electric wrench for just these bolts. It was either missed alltogether or there is an issue with the rebuilder's wrench.
