Keith Browning Posted February 27, 2008 Share Posted February 27, 2008 I had to replace an EGT 1-2 sensor and the harness pigtail because the connector had not been secured and it melted on the flange where the DOC and DPF bolt together. Another dealer had been messing around with the truck and apparently left the connector un-tethered to that plastic clip taped to the harness. The clip was not damaged so I an only assume the connector was not put back onto the clip. Had the clip or the hardshell connector been broken I would have respected the tech if a zip tie was used to secure the connector away from that hot DPF.
