Hempstead
I just read an article in my local newpaper stating that Ford is bringing back eco-friendly Fiesta! I couldn't find the exact article online, but I did find this press release form Ford. http://www.ford.com/about-ford/news-anno...d-fiesta-geneva The artilce I had read said that it has a 1.4l tdi engine capable of 63.5 mpg and 100grams of co2 per kilometer. It is due in North America by 2010. I hope that this will come true. I know I will be in line to get one.

snw blue by you
Unfortunately by the time it shows up I will not be able to afford it. It will probably be 20K and no more car payments for me, as the price of goods goes up but my pay stays the same. Paid off my Explorer and Cobra last year, the Ranger early next year, I'm done. LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Nope don't have to worry about that, that's why my buddy's have their trucks, it works out, I fix their boats they move mine. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
Cetane
From the article above: "Fuel economy also blends with power with a new Duratec 1.6-litre Ti-VCT engine that provides 15 PS (14.79 hp) more power than the outgoing engine without boosting fuel usage. Still available in Europe will be the 1.25-litre and 1.4-liter gasoline engines and the 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter diesel engines." In America: Fiesta? Yes Diesel? Read closely....... In any case that quoted fuel economy was in Imperial gallons. It works out to around 52.5 MPG(US). Sorry to rain on the parade....
Hempstead
Sure but will it pull the Glastron up the boat ramp??????? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif I'm sure the aftermarket will have a programer and exhaust avilable shortly after is comes out. Set it on extreme setting and see how much you can tow. That's what most diesel customer do right? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/flamethrower.gif

I know at least 50 people that would grab one of these things, myself included /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif

Keith Browning
Ford could market it to 6.0L owners and rename it the "Dinghy." dinghy [ding-gee] -noun, plural -ghies. 1. any small car designed as a tender or lifeboat, esp. a Super Duty's, rowed, sailed, or driven by a motor. 2. a car used by ford pick-up owners, having a four cylinder diesel engine. 3. any of various bailing or escaping cars used on sheltered roads along the American highways to transport stranded passengers and cargo. 4. a reliable life raft.
