Jim Warman
Broadcast message 0863 announces the release of a special tool for removing the broken sparkplug porcelain from 3V heads. Looks like Ford has already started shipping them.
Keith Browning
I am wondering if this tool is supplemental to the broken plug remover already in use.
Jim Warman
Wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if the new tool turned out to be a properly sized punch for pounding the porcelain further into the shield?

LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Nah, it's probably a big snot sucker that we used to clean out our kids noses when they get stuffed up, or when the kids make a mess and stuff mashed potatoes up there. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/stooges.gif
Jeff_
TSB 08-07-6 has the procedure to use the new tool. It involves using loctite to attach a pin in place of where the center electrode was, and then once the pin is bonded to the porcelain, it can be extracted with the pulling rig. Skidonenko
A fellow on my group had to use this the other day and it worked flawlessly (1st use of the tool) but the set up time on the lock-tite is and hour or so
