Loose Horseshoe Intake

Don't know if this has been covered before but I though I'd post a couple of pics.

 

Customer brought in his 450 slightly down on boost with a hissing under boost, like a torn CAC hose, as well there was oil misting above the valve cover.

 

What I found was a loose horseshoe due to the four valve cover bolts that support it mounting bracket had broken.

 

Not that big a deal, required a little drilling with a LH bit but they came out without a huge ordeal.

 

As a side note all of the VC bolts were loose, musta been a Friday afternoon build.

 

 

 

 

 

BTW, you need to take the VC off.
