Keith Browning
Got me a good one this time. All kinds of black silt came out of the fuel cooler test port. Called Ford and they concur that there was a failure and I am to replace the entire high pressure system and both filter housings. My only question is if any of you have run into this and how did you flush the fuel return rails in the heads? I was told to get creative. Brad Clayton
I am thinking this is the most cost ineffective and completely ridiculous system to repair. Is it possible to drop one of those small red cups (plug) into each injector cup to seal the combustion chamber and then shoot brake clean into the passage in the front of the head and let the cup catch the crap? Keith Browning
That is a good thought. I have a bucket full of caps of all sizes that I use regularly. Just remembered that I forgot to order copper gaskets for the fuel lines and make sure I have enough exhaust fasteners on hand.
