snw blue by you
Yep, and here it is is. Obviously if you are not doing a pump you can modify the list accordingly. This list was made for a crewcab, hence 8 bolts, supers and regulars order accordingly. Hope this helps. 6.4 L Body Off Hardware List for High Pressure Fuel Pump R&I 4 - 8C3Z-6N640-A Exhaust Gasket 2 - 8C3Z-6N640-B Exhaust Gasket 8 - W712878-S439 Body Bolt 1 - 8C3Z-6619-A Pump Cover Seal 1 - 8C3Z-6619-B Pump Cover Gasket/Harness 8 - W302774 Fuel Line Seal 1 - 8C3Z-9A332-A Fuel line 1 - 8C3Z-9A332-B Fuel Line 1 -1817957-C1 EGR-Pipe Bracket Bolt 2 - W300003 EGR-OC Bracket Bolts
Keith Browning
You need to edit this list to include the intermediate steering shaft bolt (10mmX30mm) W711484S439 I'll make this a sticky topic but if we can come up with lists for similar operations I'll make a dedicated resource page. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

BrunoWilimek
This is a great aid to cab-off operations. Now, does anybody have the added items for doing head gaskets on an 08 F250 4X4? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
BrunoWilimek
Thanks a lot to Brad Clayton , who e-mailed me the best ever 6.4 build-up parts list with awesome colour(Canadian spelling) pictures that include the part numbers, no less. That was definitely a great time-saver. He has it in PDF format for anyone else who is interested. Thanks again, and hats off to you, Brad. Brad Clayton
ATTN: to anyone using my 6.4l short block PDF. Ford has updated the body removal procedure and cab bolts are no longer being replaced. I will update the document to reflect this and it will be available soon. From the shop manual: Quote: Prior to reusing the body support mounting bolts, use a wire wheel to clean all thread lock material from the threads. Apply threadlock and sealer to the threads of all body support mounting bolts prior to installation.
Keith Browning
I guess some of you guys better stop cutting the heads off those bolts. The latest round of harassment from the warranty police includes ANY part charged out that is not part of the written procedure in the workshop manual In other words, if it is in black and white the body bolts had better not be charged out... unless I suppose it is not re-usable in some legitimate way. Otherwise be prepared to supply twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence... Fordracer
It would be nice it they would release a SSM about it so we would know. I don't read the procedure to remove the cab after the first time. This isn't the first time they changed policy on a repair and kicked back some parts on a claim.
Fordracer
I was looking at the new procedure for spun cage nuts and I looked at the cab off procedure and it still says to discard the cab bolts when removed. I also couldn't find the new labor ops for spun cage nuts the mentioned in the new message they released today. The Workshop Manual (WSM) has been revised to include procedures for how to remove a body bolt when the cage nut(s) have spun during a body off. Please refer to the WSM, section 502-02 for more details. There have also been four new labor operations added to the SLTS manual. These new labor operations are as follows: 6007B70 - Front End Sheet Metal (FESM) Mount Cage Nut(s) Spun 6007B71 - Body Support No. 1 Cage Nut(s) Spun 6007B72 - Body Support No. 2 Cage Nut(s) Spun (Crew Cab Only) 6007B73 - Body Support No. 3 Cage Nut(s) Spun In addition, the WSM, Section 303-01 has been updated eliminating the removal of unnecessary components for certain cab-off repairs. Please refer to the WSM for more details. As a result of these changes, labor operation 6007B has been restudied to account for the changes.
lmorris
IIRC, the upper fan shroud is the only thing listed in the old procedure that I never took off. Hopefully it won't drop the times too much.
Fordracer
I was looking up labor times today for cab off and it was lowered to 4.3 hrs. It now shows labor ops for spun cage nuts.
