Mekanik
I just got done with a HP fuel pump last week. The thing was leaking and causing the oil level to rise. The truck only has 4,000 miles on the odometer and the engine was maybe 3 quarts overfilled. Anyway, after a couple days they took this thing out of state and called us up saying that the message center was saying to replace the DPF. From what my SW was saying I'm not 100% sure that they were using ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. We haven't heard back from them in a couple days and I was just wondering if anyone has been replacing theese things. It says in the manual that they should last 250,000 miles. I didn't think that the oil was that diluted to take out the DPF.
Keith Browning
I have replaced 4 or 5 now for sooty tail pipes. I have not seen any message center warnings yet - not even regeneration in progress. I have had a few light off in my bay but that was before they had the new IC program. Interesting.
