Alex Bruene
Welcome aboard... Have you taken a recording of the event?
Bruce Amacker
Agreed. A rubbed harness or bad STC fitting will give this complaint. Good Luck! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

mrbudge
If you can duplicate the stall watch ficm sync, if it goes to no and stalls you may have a cmp sensor with too much air gap. Rust under the mounting flange can cause this, or the sensor may not be fully inserted in the block. We remove the ps pumps here to verify this. If you check the cam sensor trace on an oscilloscope you will see very low amplitude at low speeds, enough for it to lose ficn sync. Oddly enough they will re-start after the stall, if you rev them up and allow them to return to idle they will stall when the rpm dips slightly below idle on decel. Mekanik
I agree, but it is a good idea to make the SYNC and FICM SYNC pids graphs. It will be much easier to notice.
