6.0 IPR Sockets

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a more wallet friendly place to get the IPR sockets you use for the 6.0? The older one is OTCR303-769 and costs $135.98 from RTTP. I haven't seen the newer one listed by itself on RTTP, but I have seen it as part of a 6.0 tool set. Ours apparently grew legs, and the Service Manager doesn't seem excited about replacing them. I bought the electrical connector tool for the injectors and the coupler tool a long time ago for myself, and I know they have paid for themselves by now. I wouldn't mind picking these up as well, I am just not sure they are worth the price. (especially when I just use a wrench on the IPRs when doing couplers and the turbo and pedestal are off) I would love any info anybody had on these though--thanks in advance.

I looked there already, but I only found it as part of one of the 6.0 red box kits and the price wasn't much better than buying directly from Rotunda. I know my Snap-On guy and our Mac guy haven't found anything for me on this yet either. I keep hoping they will come out with something. (I have the Snap-On ICP sensor socket for the 03-04 6.0s and the flat 6 point 10mm turbo bolt wrench and they work great--just no info on them making an IPR socket) Do all the International guys use the OTC sockets too? Maybe I'll just make one--after all some of the best tools are ones you make yourself.

I cant find ours either. It left before i started there. I use a 1 3/8" open end crowfoot, 3/8 drive, (proto i believe) and a 3/8" breaker bar. Allows rotation and reconfiguration of tool, and using a 3" extension can still get on them with turbo on.

Most tools are available separately from http://international.spx.com/portal/site/International-SPX

1: Never assume it's in stock. Long backorders are common.

2. Never assume it's cheap.

3. The HP oil puck tool for 6.0's is listed wrong.

4. The IPR socket might be ZTSE4666 IPR SOCKET $64.00

Good Luck!
