eastendpowerstroke
A 1982 SHITVETTE ????DIESEL NO LESS how freaking hard did they have to search for that bomb Quote: it's one of the few cars that wasn't offered with air conditioning because the engine couldn't maintain the car's road speed and spin the A/C compressor. I would have tough all of those turds would have been flushed by now! I'd rather walk down the street with a BIG ASS sign that says "ASK ME ABOUT MY HERPES" than be seen driving that thing no matter how many MPG it gets. Aaron
3 Cylinder Geo Metros don't have AC either, for the same reason - if you wanted AC in your metro, you had to get the Big-Block 4-cylinder option.

mchan68
I have worked on a diesel Escort but I have never even heard of a diesel Tempo! Are those the ones with TWO timing belts, one for the cam at the front of the engine, and one for the fuel injection pump at the rear? This was the engine offered some time in eighties on Escort/Lynx, Tempo/Topaz and Rangers ONLY IN THE SATES, correct?
