tecanic1
anyone else seen an ipr with a hole in the screen ..this is the first one i have seen ...looking at the bible it appears that the only thing that could cause this is debris from the hpop ...... anyways ..just curious as to what is being seen out there .... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif this happened after i replace two broken injectors and removed engine to find all the parts that were m.i.a ... lucky me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif
Torqued_Up
No hole in the screen but I have seen one with some strange debris all over it. That truck had a HPOP failure that put the debris there but ran fine afterward. Now, the IPR just bleeds off pressure in the system right? So if that is true then wouldn't there be additional debris that would likely end up in the injectors too? Or the check valves?? I just think it's odd that I never seem to have any injector issues after a pump failure... or is it just me? Am I lucky? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
snw blue by you
I must be the only one that ever sees these things.Got an '05 E-350 in right now, doing an HPOP ,hole in the IPR,bet I've had a dozen anyways! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif Technically anytime an HPOP lets go,we should be opening the system, and at the very least blowing it clean with shop air, then replacing the check valves ,yeah that'll happen. Ed, guess I've been lucky too. Ya know, I have yet to have an issue with o-rings,but pumps, that's a different story!
Keith Browning
That's because I seem to get most of the o-rings and the quick connect couplers! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif And it does even out because I have only had to replace three HPOP's so far. And one good one. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif I see someone learned how to be creative with images! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rofl.gif
gasgasman
There's a TSB for replacing the HPOP when the IPR screen is damaged.
