sdv4x4
This will be my first time, I'm going by the service manual to replace both standpipes per the hotline. Just throwing this out there if anyone has any tips. Thanks in advance.
GregKneupper
To remove the rh valve cover just remove the lh motor mount and you will have plenty of room to get it out. The lh cover will come out without removing any mounts.
BLittle500
Yea, that^ Make sure that you pull the left side valve cover first though, that way you can have them both off at the same time. I doubt the left side valve cover will come off with the LH motor mount out.

DamageINC
I always yank the LH motor mount. Dropping the left side of the engine makes getting the right side valve cover out MUCH easier. And actually, jacking up the left side of the engine (with the mount out or loose) makes removing the left side valve cover a lot easier too, if I remember correctly. (I haven't done one in about 6 months, hehe) Dave
