BLittle500
www.duallybuddy.com Anyone use this thing? Just curious to see if it works or not. I'm sure there's other tools out there like it, just looking for a good one.
Bruce Amacker
I wouldn't pay $300 for it. We use a BF 6' prybar wedged through the handhole against the end of the axle shaft to get frozen wheels off.
Keith Browning
I don't know, that looks pretty decent. We have had plenty of wheels where a pry bar just wasn't budging the wheels. Of course nothing works better than anti-seize compound applied to the hub before they get stuck.
Buddy_M
Yep, same here, I can't see spending $300 for that when either my big prybar(custom made from 7/8" oilfield sucker rod that ain't gonna bend for anything) or the 18lb sledge works just as good. Never had a wheel on a LD or HD vehicle refuse to come off with that combo. Buddy
mchan68
Interesting how the photo illustrates the use of this tool to pull the hub and bearing assembly out of an '05 and up 4x4 truck. I could always flip an old brake rotor around backwards and secure to the hub with two nuts and smack the shit out of it. Off course doing it by the aforementioned method and the method illustrated in the photo risks damage to the hub and bearing itself.
Brad Clayton
Our shop has one and it self destructed the first time it was used. Our salt regiments are brutal on these wheels. I wasn't too impressed with the setup, kinda cheesy when you actually hold it compared to seeing in a catalog.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
This looks like some thing "Billy Mays" would pitch. http://www.asseenontvvideo.com/Billy-Mays.html All excited about it but wouldn't buy it himself. Watched one last night about green again or some shit like that, basically spray paint for your grass. Like anyone would bite on his bull. Looks like the same kind of bull to me. BLittle500
Aww crap, I though "wow, finally a way to get those bitches off". Oh well, thanks for the input guys, Brandon
Brad Clayton
It may work for you guys down there, but up here it's no match for the brutality.
Aaron
I used to have a busted balljoint press. I cut the end of the C clamp part off so it would jam up against the inside wheel, and you aren't anything out of pocket because the dickhead tool dealer won't warranty your busted stuff. Same principle, not as fancy though. Someone else wanted it more than I did though.
