Les
Have a 2007 f350 with a turbo howl around 1800rpm. Noise is most noticeable at turbo air inlet. Smoke tested intake & exh. Chkd. CAC tubes. No leaks anywhere. All sensors read normal. Bolted on another used turbo & noise still there. Eliminated CAC cooler by disconnecting CAC tubes. Truck runs normal otherwise. Anybody run across this? Thnx.
Bruce Amacker
There's an updated turbo stand to get rid of this noise, I'll try to find the PN or TSB#. They also changed the number of fins on the compressor wheel to reduce noise in later revisions.
Bruce Amacker
TSB 05-19-12 Thank Aaron for jogging my memory... Good Luck!

G. Bedford
The TSB doesn't include the '07 MY. You may order and install the parts and not mention the TSB(clear it with management). I have had claims scrutinized or kicked back because the Ford computer caught the discrepancy.
Les
Ford finally approved a new turbo & concern is fixed. Got to love using used parts. Thanks.
