Mekanik
Does anyone know the p/n for an injectot connector for a 2002 F350? I realize that I can get the whole harness, but I just want a single connector. It is also the same for the IPR. Thanks
dieseldoc
Dont have a ford part# but cat has a pigtail available pn# 156-7106 cost is 20$ us. It is used on the 3126/c7 injectors, IVA connectors and our ipr valve as well.
Bruce Amacker
I missed this post earlier. I don't know if Ford has it available, but IH has it under IPR Repair Pigtail PN2501107C1 $13.00 and as a Repair harness- ZTSE 4437-5, also part of ZTSE 4436 Electrical Repair Kit. These are the electrical connector pigtail with the wire bail retainer. I've got pics if you need them. Good Luck!

For some silly reason I trust the metal ones more for this application. I cant tell you why but I do. If it really does not matter there is a Ford connector that will work on injectors, the IPR and the VGT actuator... let's see if I can dig the # up I knew we went over this before. Try 6e7z 12a690-da which is the last good number I found for the IPR connector which has the plastic side tabs but it works.
sixturbosix
I know when I made my IPR hotwire for closing off IPR with battery I use the ends off of an old under valve cover harness from a 7.3l.It will fit Ipr like a charm and has metal clip.Just cut them off of the next 7.3l harness you take out. dieseldoc
I am 90% sure it has the metal bail type clip, not the plastic tabs. I will look at one in the parts bin tomorrow and let you guys know. I just looked the number up in my notes.

That is what I used to make mine. If I had used the plastic tab type it likely would have been broken by now. For the tool you really want the metal clip in my opinion. I do agree the tab type will work just fine for an injector in a pinch. Fortunately we have replaced enough UVH's over the years that we still have a few laying around to salvage the connectors from but I am running out. Oh, and the IPR power cable tool - There was one sent to diesel certified dealers along with the ESST case that was to be used for several of the oddball tools that were not part of any particular tool kit. I made my own before I remembered it was there.
sixturbosix
I didn't know they sent one out to dealers I need to look and see if I can find it.Was this ESST case a partially empty case to put special service tools in?I am not familiar with this case.More info appreciated Keith. Brad Clayton
I came in a cardboard box like you would get from UPS. That was quite awhile ago, so good luck findin' it. Unless your dealer has a special place they pile up new tools that don't get filed into the correct place.
Keith Browning
I'll pull it off the shelf on Monday and see if there are any details you need for it, It may have come with something but it had a lot of empty molded places and there were some tools that were in my cabinet that were to be put there... like the never used CMP tester, the 7.3L injector leak tester parts and a few others. The IPR power connector with alligator clips is also in there.
sixturbosix
This may be hard to believe but at our small dealership the owner is also the service manager. He believes in working just like the rest of us and acts like a friend instead of dictator. He has gone through everyone of our service tools individually and entered them into a software program on his computer. He can tell you the exact location of old Ford Courier tools we have if you asked for them. This really helps save time.So if there are any numbers you can give me I can find out if we received them. Thanks

Brad Clayton
Tool number OTC 303-1135/
Keith Browning
The box for this put together kit is numbered TKIT-2004Q3-F and it only came with the 6.0L valve spring compressor #303-1170. The empty cavities in the box are to house the previously shipped tools: [*]303-1134 - 7.3L Camshaft Position Sensor Tester [*]303-1135/1 - IPR Valve Tester Cable [*]303-1135/2 - IPR Valve Test Stand [*]310-141/1 - 7.3L Fuel Injector Test Stand [*]310-141/2 - 7.3L Test Plug Gage
sixturbosix
If they don't slow down on how many diesels they are taking in a week we will be hiring real soon.I don't mind them taking in a large amount of work just don't promise every customer they will have there vehicle back next day when you know it ain't gonna happen because they will expect it and then I have to explain to the service writer for the 1,000th time "I didn't promise it you did." All the tech really needed was the ruber seal, but he must have found one. I lost one of the metal clips years ago on a injector O-ring job. As luck would have it, I was going to the auto show while this thing was apart. I stole a metal clip off a injector connector on a 7.3L enging mock-up at the auto show. Brad Clayton
Our tool is still laying around the shop loose in the bag it came in. I think I'll try and round up the box it should go into that Keith referenced.
Keith Browning
I see the metal retainer is missing from yours.

Aaron
I see the metal retainer is missing from yours. If I recall rightly, the one at the last shop I worked at didn't have the little tin clip on it, either. I've just made my own, and two others for other guys that do a little diesel work at my current shop, and I've got parts to make one more. (Can you tell I changed an under valve cover harness this week? LOL)
Keith Browning
Seriously. I made my own too having completely forgotten about that tool until the plastic case arrived. I still have not put alligator clips on the one I made so I have been using the shop's. I don't really need the clip for the tool but now I am starting to feel guilty for... oooh! Okay, I'll admit stealing it to fix a customer's truck. My intentions were good mind you. Does that count for anything?

Aaron
I built a little radio shack component box with a toggle switch as well as a momentary switch in it with a 9v battery in it with the leads coming out of it. The 9v battery also doesn't beat up the IPR as bad as the 12v does. Plug it in, flip the switch, close the IPR. Pretty slick little outfit, if I do say so myself. I'll post up pics on Monday.
