Jim Warman
So... Wednesday, my loving bride and I made another trek to Edmonton.... this old guy has been in need of some significant dental work and that day was the culmination of nearly two years of Mongolian clusterfuck (for the unfamiliar, this is much worse than a Chinese fire drill, but still better than a Liberal appointed Senate - but not much). They gave me a general anesthetic - it was a about 10AM and they had me count backwards like on TV... The last number I remember was 77. At a little before 11AM, I was trying to sit up on a gurney in the recovery area. For the privilege of having a less than one hour nap in a strange place, we didn't get enough change back out of $2700 to buy lunch (presupposing I could actually chew anything, anyway). And folks think OUR door rate is high!!!!!! At least my med plan will cover most of the expense...... I hope.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Jim what carat are your teeth now????
Jim Warman
Sadly they are porcelain.... the only precious metals in my house seem to adorn my loving brides appendages - she is a typical Canadian - she spends 10% more than I earn. At least I no longer look like I belong in the front row at a Willie Nelson concert.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I can relate to you. Back when I was a little shit 10-11 I broke my front 4 upper teeth playing ball. My parents had them capped and for 25 or so years I lived with having to go back and have the caps replaced when they fell off(Real Pain in the ASS). Bout 5 years ago I had enough and went back to the dentist and had him replace all 4 with a 1 piece permanent bridge. Well worth the 3K it cost. And very strong, I don't have to worry about my teeth breaking again.
Mekanik
Dentists piss me off. We(I) spend so much money for my wife's never ending dental work. The rotten thing is dental insurance pays for so little of the cost. Total effing rip-off!
