robp823
Got to do headgaskets on a 96 f series. Is doing these similar to 6.0s where the head bolts on the rear of the heads are really close to the firewall and you have to use rubber bands to hold them in place and guide the head in?? Fredsvt
The right side is gonna be real close. I had to use a cherry picker to get the heads on and off a 7.3 in a front engined school bus. I sure wouldn't want to pick them up working with the engine in chassis.
batmantech
My first question is Why are you replacing the head gasket on a 7.3? Just wondering for my future reference. Usaully the oil pan is rusted through along with the other repair so pulling the engine is nessary then away.(i know some people do the pan in the chasis, just my 2 cents)
