Aaron
I have here a fine example of a 06 6.0 with 140k miles on the clock. Retail. Needs an oil pan (smashed), front and rear cover gaskets, crank and cam sensor seals, hpop cover, oil cooler housing gasket. About the only thing not leaking is the bedplate. Would it be advised to pull the motor and reseal the WHOLE WORKS so when the bedplate starts to leak in 3 weeks he doesn't have to pay for all the gaskets again? What would be fair for a labor time for a retail bedplate reseal?
jaysonfordtech
We are charging crankshaft rr time. That is a reseal minus head gaskets.

jaysonfordtech
Why holy crap? we have not seen all that many head gasket failures here, more egr and oil cooler failures.
cbriggs
Sorry, i meant holy crap to all the oil leaks. I see tonnes of head gasket failures here, usually due to seized turbe or tuners. (im doing probably 2 sets a week on average lately.)
