BLittle500
Hey guys, Working on an 02 7.3, replacing turbo. Went by the book taking it off being my first one, no issues coming off, but now I cant get the up pipes to mate back up to the turbo. I just took the marmon clamp off of the up pipes @ the turbo like the book said. Any tips or tricks you guys have come across? Thanks in advance, Brandon
Keith Browning
Is there an alignment dowel on that connection? I recall there being one... you may need to make this connection with the turbo unbolted at the pedestal so that you can rotate and align the connection then install and tighten the clamp and then align the turbo to the pedestal and insert the turbo mounting. Loosen the marmon clamp slightly (but not enough to allow separation) before torquing down the pedestal bolts, then re-tighten the clamp last.
