Fredsvt
What's a realistic labor time to replace both the blower and main accessory drive belts on a 1999 SVT Lightning? Is the lower blower pulley a 14mm allen? My RealTime labor guide doesn't list it properly. I don't think .8 is quite enough. TIA
Adam_Dodson
I ran into this a while ago on a Foose F150 with the roush charger. It has the same 2 belt setup with the braket and pulley that need to be removed to replace the accesory drive belt. I think it was about 3 hours but im sure I could cut an hour off if i did it again. As for the pulley im pretty sure i borrowed some contraption from JIM which was a bolt with a 14 or 13mm head welded to a socket. And i think it was left hand thread. Fredsvt
Thanks, I kind of figured. Pulling the fan, shroud and all the brackets is necessary. I do remember reading it's left hand thread. It's my truck, so I need to know how much time to leave open to do it. I made up a locking tool to go to a converter stud to the trans. I'll climb under/over it with some sockets this weekend to see what size the pulley bolt is.
