Bruce Amacker
What are we working on? Do you want basic or full? 9K061 or 9150 for o-rings "might" help, but I'm not a parts guy.
Keith Browning
Sorry Bruce, he originally had this posted in the 6.0L forum and I moved it to here. Jim, the fuel pressure regulator kit you are looking for fits all 6.0L engines 2003 through 2007 (F-Series?) so there may be an extra piece or two depending on the year. 3C3Z-9T517-AE

Mikill
I know everytime I ask for a fuel pressure regulator the IPR valve pops up on the parts guys screen and away he goes pulling the IPR and then gets mad when I tell him it's the wrong part. Thankfully the other back counter guy made a note and now the correct part comes up.
Keith Browning
Well you can't blame the parts guys if all you ask for is a "fuel pressure regulator" because that is the description of the IPR valve in the parts listing. When I ask for an actual fuel pressure regulator I ask for a "fuel pressure regulator kit... the one with the o-rings and the spring that is mounted on the fuel filter housing." Otherwise I too still get an IPR.
mchan68
This is the exact reason why I always request parts by basic number (ie 9T517 NOT 9C968, 9A543 NOT 9350 etc....).
joshbuys
I've gotten in the habbit of asking for base numbers of the common parts I use....saves some confusion - then they can look it up against the vehicle I'm working on and get the right prefix/suffix. LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Another way I used to look up some of the kits is to actually search using "Kit". It takes a little longer but usually you can come up with the correct part, especially with the Blue Diamond parts. They changed a bunch of basic's that don't make any sense. With all of the TSB's and part number changes that Ford has went thru cheat sheets are a must. If you have a good back counter guy it might be worth it to copy his cheat sheets and make both your lives a little easier.
