The mufller is blown apart along the joint at bottom (nice cut away view inside muffler).Has any body seen this before. Chra housing and one injector where relaced 4000km ago. No codes and bus runs great.per driver no starting fluid used or any fuel additive????. No fuel in oil also. This bus was park for Christmas holidays, possible exhaust plugged up from ice ???Any suggestion, hotline has never heard of this.Thanks. Aaron
You'd think it wouldn't run if the exhaust was that plugged... You've got yourself a head scratcher there, I think.
Keith Browning
Did you inspect the muffler for debris and check the catalyst to see if it broke up?

Alex Bruene
I'd be a bit suspicious of "no starting fluid" thing...
Steve Mutter
I had one like that,it was an 01 7.3 came in for runs rough,so I start looking at pids and it was like the hole truck jummped, the muffler had blown apart, the guy had just filled it up with gas,I have a cool picture but my computer will not let me upload for some reason
