Keith Browning
HELP! We can't find a listing for the 8mm/1.25 70mm long head bolts along the top of the 6.0L heads. I was distracted while torquing one of them and I kept turning it till it snapped. It didn't take much. Fortunately I was able to insert the top of the bolt and spin it back out. LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Keith, You may be in trouble. the only way Ford is listing them is in the Head Set. I might have a 6.0 core back in the warehouse. I'll go back and take a look, I may be able to steal one out of it for you.......
Keith Browning
Those bolts are not, and never were included in the head set -#6051 as far as I can remember. They are low torque and are re-useable.
mchan68
I believe the bolts you're looking for are 3C3Z-9N517-AA. Hope this helps Keith.

Keith Browning
Excellent. The basic shows in the picture but only for the rocker fulcrum plate bolts. I gave 'em the number you came up with and it shows as an "8mm / 70 bolt" I made the order so I'll know in the morning but I am confident that is it. Thanks Mike!!!!!!! Thanks Mike!!!!!!!To give you an idea on how I came up with that number, I pulled up the illustration for a 6.4L in the workshop manual(better detail in the illustrations than older trucks), and cross referenced it to a 6.4L truck (I figured it to be the same as a 6.0L). When I saw it listed as (5 req'd), I figured those would be the ones. Of course, when you go back to a 6.0L truck in Microcat with that same basic, it comes up with the same number but no illustration. Let me know if it's the right one. I'm curious now too. And I don't blame you for wanting to use any other fastener, other than what it calls for Keith.

DamageINC
I worked on a 6.0 once with **3** of those bolts missing on the right side cylinder head. Another shop had done head gaskets 40k miles previous to my repairs and there were still no leaks to be seen, hahaha. Dave
cheldmann
i have also seen them missing before with no problems. i also lost one and it was late parts counter closed so i kept rolling on the job hate to do that kind of stuff but it cant hurt much. thats why they put 5 bolts there it really only needs 2 or 3 so they put 5 incase you loose them or break them right haha
Brad Clayton
Not only was this one missing but the whole casting is broken. It's kinda like a natural cutaway.
