BLittle500
ugh, waiting on the old lady to get home so I can spring on her the news that she has been waiting for. I have finally sold enough of my "useless" stuff to pay for something bigger and better that I'm sure she will deem even more "useless". Women, whats they're deal, and why are they against horsepower?
Keith Browning
Okay... I'll take the bait. What is this useless motorized thing you now have?
BLittle500
Selling a race car, buying a new one in a different (faster of course) class. She's gonna be thrilled ;-)
Aaron
That's what I'm talkin about! Whatcha got, what class? And what are you stepping up to? I ...ahem... surprised the wife around this time last year, she came home from work and my roller was sitting on the lawn
BLittle500
Aaron, I just sold my "V8 Strictly Stock", which unfortuniatly was anything but stock. I'm getting into "classic cars", they run GM metric chassis with either a built 305 or a crate 350, both engines are sealed. What do you run, and how'd the wife like the roller? hahaha
Aaron
I run a drag car, in MOD ET. Mid 11 second ride on pump gasoline, can drive back and forth to the track if I don't feel like loading it on the trailer. Cylinder heads are at the machine shop as we speak. If you need any GM metric chassis parts, let me know, I got a LOT of stock stuff. What rules are you using? What are you allowed to do to the motor? What crate 350? As for how she liked it? I just got "the look"....
BLittle500
Well, there's two classes that run the same cars, one with the 305/crate 350's, and the other class' only engine rule is steel block LOL. I want to run in the cheaper class but I wont know what I'm running until I get the 305's apart that come with these cars (I'm sure after buying these cars and telling her that I need to buy another engine when I just bought 3 with the cars, she wont be a happy camper). The crate engine we're allowed to run is the GM "602" I can dig up the whole part number but I know that they just signify the engines by the last 3 of the p/n. The engines in the 305/350 class all need to be sealed by the division so cheating isn't going to be as much of an issue. The class I ran in last year was supposed to be pretty much a true "stock" car, but when I started racing that class 4 years ago the camaro's with 350's were whipping everyone's ass, after a year of that my 4.6 kept getting healthier and healthier LOL, and it just got to be to much. So hopefully this new class doesnt turn out the same.
