ErickBaker
What are you guys using to test headgaskets? I know the tsb says to use a tee fitting with cooling system pressure tester but my cooling system tester has a radiator adaptor on the end and I don't particularly want to butcher it up. I bought some tee fittings from the local hardware store and was wondering if a regular pressure gauge may work or should I just buy another cooling system tester? Keith Browning
I bought some tee fittings from the local hardware store and was wondering if a regular pressure gauge may work or should I just buy another cooling system tester?I just unscrewed the end off off my tester and put on my tee. I never use it as a regular pressure tester anymore so I don't care. If you want to have two I have only one thing to say. ErickBaker
Thanks. I still use mine on a semi-regular basis. Ebay sounds like a good idea.
HGM
When my tester hose sprung a leak, someone recomended(and sold me) a greese gun hose. If you remove the original hose from the pump, you can screw the new hose right in.. Something to look into, no need to duplicate tools..
