Aaron
Anyone see the bulletin? 6.0 and 6.4 new fuel filters. There's an O ring at the opposite end of the filter to keep it from bypassing when it gets plugged. My apologies if this has been posted somewhere else already. Bruce Amacker
Can you paste the bulletin here? Has there been a PN change as well? Thanks!
Keith Browning
THis happened MONTHS ago. The primary filter now has an o-ring on the ourtside or the pump end as Aaron stated. The part number is the same. I don't recall an announcement or bulletin but that doesent mean there isn't one... I have been missing stuff lately. I'll try to snap a pic for you on monday Bruce. joshbuys
HERE'S THE MESSAGE, NOT SURE OF THE DATE ON IT, BUT I KNOW IT'S BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS!! LIKE KEITH SAID - SAME PART NUMBER, AND NOW THAT OLD DEALER INVENTORY IS GONE, ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE THE NEW STYLE.
mchan68
For 6.4L, I believe there's a part number change to FD-4617.
Keith Browning
Thanks Josh, that is what we needed to see. Where did the file come from? It seems like a lot of us are missing things lately, am I wrong? Where did Power Stroke Central go on the PTS site? I havent seen the link or any of the information from it in a while. Aaron
Yes, part numbers changed, and my SM e-mailed me that document and a little info on this on friday. Sorry I been outta the loop for so long It's dated fairly recently, because the pricing structure changes in a week or two, if I recall rightly in the paperwork I have in my toolbox. joshbuys
IT MUST HAVE BEEN DECEMBER OR JANUARY THAT THIS FILE WAS POSTED ON FMCDEALER ON THE MAIN PAGE BEFORE ENTERING PTS - IF YOU TYPE 6.4L OR 6.0L IMPROVED FUEL FILTER IN THE SEARCH BOX ON FMCDEALER IT SHOULD BE ONE OF THE FIRST LINKS THAT COMES UP. Jim Warman
There was a brief message *somewhere* about the demise of powerstroke central... it went and the toolbox tab came. This is the tab you now see on OASIS. When I upgraded our IDSs to 65.09 there was also a message about toolbox tab once again... Sadly, I didn't get to read it as I had a bitch of a time to update our machines and "assumed" (silly me) that it would rear it's ugly ahead again for me to read...
