kevin41 Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 working on a 2006 f350 pickup that blows excessive blue smoke out tailpipe started with the usual diagnostics visual o.k. fuel seems to be o.k. customer uses ford cetane booster ever since severe coking issue about 25,000 miles ago eec test p0611 replaced ficm after recalibrating old ficm mpwr voltage was still low fuel pressure was also just under 45 psi with tester new fuel pressure regulator fixed pressure issue retested after those repairs still smokes inspected turbo bearing end play excessive replaced chra put the truck back together retested and smoke stopped thought truck was fixed after repair road tested and ran at abouty 2000 rpm out side shop no smoke until after 20 miles then smoke started again no codes does not seem to have any coolant issues oil is o.k. truck also now has developed surge at steady cruise all pid data seems o.k. icp ipr ebp vgt on my way to measure crank case pressure if anyone out there has any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
