Aaron
Looked it up on Microcat today. You CAN buy the DPF/SCR/CAT in sections... but in great big letters as you select each individual portion: NOT FOR WARRANTY REPAIR. The only part that is repairable under warranty is 5H270 and that's the whole shootin' match...front to back. It still doesn't price out. gasgasman
Is Ford going to provide us with a sawzall and a TIG welder?

Keith Browning
Any of you take note of how long that aftertreatment assembly is? We had our first 2011 truck in the air for the PDI and realized it has to be around 8' long.
gasgasman
Ford's doing the "green" thing by recycling old WWII torpedos.

joshbuys
Yeah, I noticed it must be around 8' when I was at class. Gonna need a good stout tranny jack to get that one out!
G. Bedford
We got four new ones in and ran them all on the alignment rack for the PDI. What is up with the tank shield covering the LR section of the frame rail? No where quick to set the post on our regular racks with it in place. Aaron
She priced out yesterday. $5900 for the complete filter assembly. Hope they got that shit figured out, cause that'll get expensive, and probably be on the prior approval list, almost immediately. I like how the air filter has come substantially down in price, they are around $60 or so. The glow plugs are around $90 each, and the injectors (listed as Injector Kit) are $912 a piece. This is obviously all retail pricing. Oil filter retails for around $60 also. And the fuel filters I posted about before...almost three hundred bucks... Thankfully the LOW FUEL PRESSURE warning will FORCE people to change their filters.
