idle kicker for an excursion

I have a 2005 excursion in the shop that is set up for fire dept use. It's drawing down the batteries at idle with all the extra lights on. I want to hook up the battery charge protect circuit to bump the idle up when it sits, but can't find the circuit for it in the manual. For the superduties it's pin 9 on connector 1 at the PCM. I can't find anything similar in the excursion diagrams.

Anyone got this going on an excursion before without an aftermarket controller?

In the "how big are your cojones" department, the author of THIS THREAD simply added a wire to send B+ to what appears to be pin 12 of C1381a (this is PTO rather than pin 9 BCP - which, of course is cruise indicator on the Ex). Bear in mind this Einstein has an 04 with early build - but, at first glance the pin outs look the same at first glance (I can't see them changing just for the last year of the Ex, anyway).

Hopefully, one would find the PTO bundle is present as Aaron suggested.

I suspect the PTO bundle is absent in the Excursion, as I inspected the wiring diagrams and terminal pinouts for both the F-series and the diesel Excursion, and there were very significant differences, with no PTO wires listed at all for the Excursion. This surprises me considering the Excursion is based on the F-series. I suspect an aftermarket kit will have to be used if it is available. I also viewed the Truck BBA Service(see link below left if you are not familiar with this website)website and no mention is made of the Excursion and idle kickers. Posted Image

What about the old school SEIC controller, like in the old 7.3 trucks, could one of them be adapted?

Or just cut them a length of broom handle to go between the seat and the accelerator pedal. Posted Image

This works really good if it has power seats. The rpm control switch is (conveniently located) on the side of the seat.
