Jim Warman
So... I'm getting bored with my current avatar... which by the way, is a picture of a diesel engine... a radial, 9 cylinder, air cooled diesel. Originally fitted in battle tanks, the engine was installed in a Stinson Reliant aircraft... A fascinating read for those interested can be found HERE
Keith Browning
Interesting reading.
GregH
Well, if we're going to talk about avatars - mine is a reference to Funky Phantom from the '70s cartoon. My little one really likes those old cartoons, and Boomerang on DTV carries all that stuff. This animated .gif is from a clip mocking Funky Phantom off of an adult oriented cartoon. I picked those ten frames because it was auto-oriented. Here's a clip: I lean towards the absurd, as you can see.. Republipunkassbitch. Cracks me up every time. Not as significant nor as historic as Jim's.... But I hope it makes someone else on here smile...
Jim Warman
Hmmmm... quite the clip Back in the late early 90's, I used to let my kid watch "Duckman" until I saw an episode of it... For my youth, we had Popeye cartoons.. the ones with Bluto (not Brutus) and Popeye was busy cleaning the clocks of Hitler and Tojo. The fifties were an interesting place to live. batmantech
Three Stooges and The Little Rascals are great. But I have to say Bugs bunny, road runner are my top pick. All cartoons went down hill after the advertising laws changed(except simpsons and family guy)......bbaaaddeeep.....bbbaadddeeep.......thats all folks!
