Fordracer
I have a new one here that has a check engine light on. It has code P2407:00-27 in memory and P2407 pending. What the heck is the :00-27 on the end of the code? This truck is missing the reductant injector. The nuts that hold it in are there but the injector is gone. BrunoWilimek
Sounds almost like those bit-mapped SRS codes that narrow down the fault for easier diagnosis. Try looking in PID's to see if there is a PID for that code.
Fordracer
The injector finally came in and I was looking in the service manual to see what needed to be done to relace it, like to reset or calibrate something or other. Here's what the manual says, step 1. "Refer to exploded view(s) and any Warnings, Notices, Notes, Materials, Specifications, and Special Tools. Items in the exploded views may not be listed in order of removal." I got in touch with the hotline and asked about that and what the :00-27 on the end of the code was and their response was Hotline response: Keith, Please replace the dosing module. Then verify the DEF is full. Then perform the Refill activation and SCR parameter reset using the IDS. The information after code is the module identifier that set the DTC. Fordracer
Got a call from someone from Ford this week wanting to know why the injector was missing. They said when the trucks are being built they run codes several different times and they all get test drove and codes ran again. He also wanted to know if the fluid line had a plug in it (it didn't) that they use until the injector is hooked up. It must of been removed after the truck was built.
