Its also up on fordvehicles.com, it's pricey when tarted up.

It's a Flex under the skin from what I've read. Some Land Rover, esp with the AWD setup.

Still like the Edge Sport tho. Wish they'd ship them already.

I think we already knew it would be unibody construction and I don't think that the smaller engines were a secret... But we are seeing everything coming out as pretty much all new vehicles.

There are many articles on the net about the MyFordTouch dashboard - something I am waiting to see. These things are becoming less car and more user interface.

We got our first Fiesta in today... with the DPS6 trans. Haven't had the chance to drive it but those that have driven it have remarked on the performance and the feel. Even more electronics to boggle ones mind.

Yah, did a pdi on our fiesta today. Took me a good 15 minutes to figure out how to switch the cluster to KM / hr. (Its done thru the stereo) Pretty neat little car though.

I just did the web based course on that tranny a couple weeks ago. It seems like we're going in the same direction as Honda and Saturn. Really neat how it uses two input shafts with each, servicing a set of three ratios.

Transverse mounted engine...unibody..yuck. Whats next an F150 with the same setup as a Honda Ridgeline?

I don't know about the unibody thing, but I was reading in Satuday's Toronto Star Wheels section that the Taurus SHO engine is being looked at for the new F150. They are talking about raising the horsepower for the truck version. Explorer sales used to be in the hundreds of thousands back in the nineties, but dropped to tens of thousands, mostly due to low fuel economy, so Ford is trying to find more sales with the V4 and V6 powertrains. I may have to trade the old 97 Explorer in if they are as good as advertised. Posted Image
