Mr.Meanwrench
Check out the link below. 6.0 dies on the field at Buffalo Bills Game. Thankfully it was not one of mine. Gave me freakin' chills though...

Keith Browning
Me bets the EGR valve needs to be carted off the engine...

Aaron
Ouch... That's gonna happen to me when that disc finally chops my spinal cord off and I go for an ambulance ride.
mchan68
Me bets the EGR valve needs to be carted off the engine...I'll go a step further and say methinks the EGR cooler took a dump with all that white smoke.
Aaron
Yeah, and the guy behind he wheel probably cranked the fuckin thing till the starter fell off, too.
Aaron
Why do they have equipment shutdown at an emergency, anyway? Leave that shit running! Especially if it has an early style STC fitting on it. Holy shit, the hot IPR at idle is 44%! We better leave this sumbitch running today!!
Mr.Meanwrench
I heard it was an EGR cooler. I would NEVER send a 6.0 to a high profile event. I have my 7.3's for that. As far as why it was shut off on the field, who knows! Any other time you could not get 'em to shut those things down. Perhaps it quit due to the EGR valve having a marble in it due to the failing cooler. Just a thought.....

Just a thought..... ..... or more like it failed so bad it hydrolocked the engine would be a more likely scenario. I said it once before, and I say it again. I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad that E-Series ambulances don't exist in the big bad city of Toronto. Every time I see one driving down the street, and I see that they are GM gassers, it just makes me laugh. Aaron
We got a lot of Chev's out in the county here, but there's a few 6.0 fords running around. The guys like the E-series for the power, they say. LOL.
