Unless there is #6 oil going through the HP oil system, a cracked standpipe will not cause this issue, a leak is a leak, hot, cold, doesn't matter, temp is not going to effect it. However temp will effect the operation of the HPOP While your wasting time plugging and filling a pipe with fluid, looking for cracks that can't be seen with the naked eye, I'm well on my way to actually fixing the damn thing. AMCTech Posted September 27, 2005 Author Share Posted September 27, 2005 As I was, typo on my part as to deadhead crank pressure being 950 psi...I reviewed my notes and it was about 1950 plus. Again, sorry for cluttering this thread with misplaced posts...let's close it and I know I am resting easier knowing that the issue is resolved (as far as I am concerned).
