BLittle500
Hey guys, For some reason our OASIS/PTS is down, just looking for some referance values. Got a 2010 ambulance 6.0, should the FICM M_PWR Pid stay over 45v KOER just like KOEO? This one is dipping into 40-39v range. Thanks for some quick info guys, Brandon
mchan68
YEP. Needs a FICM or FICM "half shell".
deezul
Haven't done a FICM since the relatively new "half-shell" has come out..
Bruce Amacker
Didn't we have a discussion recently about the wiring differences on E-vans causing low FICM power readings before starting? Didn't FMC say this was normal prior to starting due to wiring differences between E's and F's?
Brad Clayton
Brandon, you mentioned ambulance. But is it an E-box?
Bruce Amacker
2010 6.0, there isn't any other choices.....
Aaron
Keith I remember that discussion as well. Brandon -- what's the concern? Setting a MIL? Hard start? Is the FICM on the new body style econo in the same place as the early ones?
Aaron
FICM failures seem to be pretty rare on vans, from what I have seen. Especially on something this new. Think it might have something to do with it being located away from the engine heat.
Brad Clayton
Quote: 2010 6.0, there isn't any other choices..... Totally grazed right over the fact that it was a '10, that coupled with the fact that I ain't never heard of a FICM crappin' out in less than 1 years time. Uhh..I can't blame it on the alchyhol though. Maybe I should start drinkin'
batmantech
here is the past on ficm these were l,v,m pwr concerns Hotline response: The E-Series FICM L & V power supplies are set up differently than an F-Series. These power supplies are shared with multiple components and can result in low initial FICM L/V/M power readings. As long as the FICM powers return to their normal range, no concern is present
