LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Just ordered and recieved a 9d930 UV harness. Was quite disturbed upon opening the box, didn't even look at the part number tag before opening. Upon opening the box came across the tag wrapped around the harness. Looking at it came across the term in bold, "MADE IN CHINA" I then grabbed the box and also has in bold text "MADE IN THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA". It also states packaged in the USA in smaller print. I know we have been on this topic before but this is bad...... I don't know where FOMOCO is going but come on this is on a F-series truck.....WTF!!!!!! We ordered this to finish the custom harness to be able to check the 6.4 injectors on our test stand. But this is really disturbing.... Does Ford not see what anyone can see, when ordering their product?????
Mikill
Alot of parts are made in different countries. The flexible fuel line that has been on backorder forever now is made in China and Ford told us that themselves. I'm surprised the uv harness is made in China because most of the harnesses we get down here are Hecho En Mexico.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I know this has become a world market but when I see service replacement parts coming from China that just pisses me off.....Why brag about be "American made" when it really isn't????? Keith Browning
I just hate the fact that it seems like EVERYTHING is made in freakin China. As far as Ford is concerned parts come from many places, we get parts made in Germany, England, Brazil, Japan, Mexico... Canada. Just to name a few. Brad Clayton
Quote: Upon opening the box came across the tag wrapped around the harness. Looking at it came across the term in bold, "MADE IN CHINA" The Mexican market has got to expensive for Ford. A few years ago, Ford found a 3rd world country (somewhere in central/south america) that could build their harnesses cheaper. Ford was excited because they were now gonna get them for pennies on the dollar again. Well it seems that a country that barely has running water or this new fangled thing called "electricity" just couldn't get it right. The friggin harnesses were a disaster. They made the shit quality mexico stuff look like NASA grade space shuttle stuff. Soooo Ford starts lookin around again and guess what? China can beat mexico's labor rate and built harnesses slightly better than the "indians". You're gonna see all the harnesses come from there, provided they don't have to take their shoes off to count higher than 10.But hey, if you want to get mad at somebody then get mad at americans. Most factories will gladly pay 18 bucks an hour to a high school drop out to sweep the floors and take 14 smoke breaks a day. And the guy still expects to make more!
