Jim Warman
Remember when, in no uncertain terms, they told us mixing Mercon and Mercon V was a big NO? Remeber just a few short years ago when they told us that MerconV was the replacement for Mercon? Who do we believe, anymore... and, more over, why do we believe them? Mikill
We have beaten this dead horse several times and I still insist on lots of heat and loosening by hand all the way. Is a propane torch really hot enough for you guys? I prefer oxy-acetylene being careful not to smoke the insulators. I have had success using a butane torch on all but the front two bolts. I use oxy-acetylene on the front two. I take the headlights out and applied the heat for a few seconds and zip them out with a 3/8 impact. Keith Browning
The last one I did I removed the headlights which took no time at all. With the nut exposed I was able to get a torch tip right on the nut and the bolts came out like buttah!

lmorris
You can get the cage nuts. Part number 2L1Z-78101C58-AA. Remove the radiator to get at it.
