STC Fitting destruction (2)

I got an old stc fitting and welded a 90 deg fitting onto it with a air hose fitting so I can bolt it to the branch tube and hook up the shop air, listen for leaks hands free and can disconnect it without the fear if an oil spray bath.

I knew I read about this trick somewhere on here. Finally got around to making one. Took a 1/4 FIP steel fitting and welded it 45° to an STC. The air chuck can be serviced seperately Posted Image

Is there a mileage when you guys start to see this failure more often? My 06 has 52k. I have the solid fitting kit ready to go in but I'm worried I might not get to it for a few months

I have seen trucks with 200,000 KM that have the factory STC. I figure it's load related. All the one we get in either pull a trailer, have a welder, or fill the box full of stuff.
