Keith Browning
It is explained on step 7 of the 2011 Super Duty Pre Dlivery Inspection Sheet that you SHOULD be using... I have attached a copy for your convenience. 7. Exit battery saver transport mode - with ignition in RUN, press brake pedal 5 times and press hazard switch 4 times (on, off, on, off) within 10 seconds. Jim Warman
While we're on about transport mode.... The powers that be have us taking them out of transport when the trucks are PDI'd. Of course, the salesweasels don't get around to starting them near often enough all too often... I'm reasonably sure that having the message centre nag you about transport mode is just a weency bit less embarassing than having a new fucking truck that has a dead battery right in front of God and a customer with money.... Just sayin'.....

Just sayin'..... Yeah, we have had that problem now and again and considered leaving them in transport mode.
GregH
Step 7 states to exit transport mode immediately before customer delivery... So, yeah, the truck should stay in transport mode on the lot. We go ahead and exit transport mode during the PDI, however, just like all of you do. The truck will exit transport mode by itself after 50 miles have accrued. And around here, these customers will drive them more than that before they sign on the dotted line...
