Yep. I have done a handful of filters on 2011 trucks. On the second one I had the same problem you are having until I discovered the water drain was open. Posted Image

Hey, shit happens. I see this 6.7L HFCM drain becoming a problem. As simple and seemingly well designed, something just isn't right with it.

That and the plastic drain plug for the oil pan. How many times can that be opened and closed before it a) breaks, or B) stops sealing?

The oil drain plug gas a lot going for in contrast. It is slightly cone shaped, has loose and aggressive threads and is well lubricated. Time will tell. Before I saw one in real life I thought Ford was going to make the drain plug more spigot like similar to a Fumoto valve.

This is where I will have to say that Navistar engineers have a tad more common sense than Ford boys. Let's see.....put a drain plug in an oil pan that has over 3 gallons of oil behind it and aim the plug straight down where gravity can do it's job and the oil can drain into an approved drain receptacle, or......aim it straight out the back of the pan towards the rear differential. Gee that's a tough call. Posted Image

I'll do you one better, I upgraded my '97 'Ploder to a '99 lower pan that aims the plug down a little more. Then I upgraded the whole motor to a 5.0l. But that has nothing to do with a 6.7 that wont run after fuel filter changes. Posted Image

Can you PM me everything needed to do the swap? I have a co-worker with a '97 'Ploder who seems to be hot and horny about doing such a swap to his.
