Anyone looking up their parts in the wsm now? I'm going to have the service manager call the number tomorrow to see if we can get signed up to use it. I can see where it might occasionally be beneficial, we only have one parts guy and he's frequently tied up on the phone or looking something up for someone else.

 

 

Does anyone know if it costs anything to use this service?

Dunno, I hadn't even noticed the addition of the parts catalog function in the WM, I'm gonna ask my SM about it tomorrow! that would be an awesome function to have!!!!

I wonder if it works in tune with microcat live? Our parts dept is switching to live tommorow, apparantly it can be run on any network computer.

I have been using this as a standalone application for at least a couple years. Seems to work fine for what I use it for. The standalone app does cost something for dealership employees. Cant say what it costs through PTS. It is the only parts system I use so I dont think it needs or uses any other software.

oh yeah, and incase anyone is wondering it requires a second subcription to the program the parts dept uses. It would cost $95 a month to have the service dept use this program

 

thanks but no thanks. if it was $50 we could justify it. not for nearly 100 though
