Jim Warman
Another tech diagnosed a reductant injector... truck had a P20E8. I replaced the injector and went to the PC/ED to see if there were any special considerations... clearing a strategy or calibrating an output.... I followed the other techs trip through PPT RK as best I could and found a classic example of flat rate reading. Step RK7 states "For DTC P208E ~ replace reductant injector~ For all others ~ replace reductant pump ~". Remember - this truck had a P20E8. Anyway, after the injector replacement, the KOER returned a P2A01 along with the P20E8. Replacing the pump fixed it.
lmorris
Been there, done that. I knew the pump was bad, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why it kept telling me to change the injector. Especially since I had used that PPT to diagnose and replace a reductant pump previously. I soon realised my "Flat rate reading mistake" after sending in a hotline request.
