Jim Warman
After a long and frustrating wait, I finally get to go for the 6.7 school. I'll be in Edmonton from the 6th to the 9th of September. Momma has some Drs appointments at the same time so we can kill two birds with one stone... except for whatever the dog boarding house is gonna cost... If anyone is in touch with Darryl, let him know I am still as cantankerous as ever.... but I will be bringing gifts for his "museum"... We were doing some slightly overdue cleaning and came across a stack of diesel diag sheets.... from 1995.... Introducing "the mob". Jake, the chihuahua - aka "Snert".... Koda, the Shepherd - aka Little puppeeee (all 130 pounds of him) and Willy G. (after Willy G. Davidson) the spaniel - aka Bill
Bruce Amacker
Daryl Drummond? He also taught at NACAT a couple of weeks ago when I was in Winnipeg, but I didn't get a chance to meet him. As far as museum artifacts go, you're probably the most suitable.......
Jim Warman
Darryl Drummond? I've been a thorn in his side for nearly 10 years now... BTW.. I am not an artifact... fossil, maybe.... but not an artifact

lmorris
Darryl Drummond? I've been a thorn in his side for nearly 10 years now... So I've heard, he brings you up at every course I have ever been too.....I kid... It's a very informative course, you should get a lot out of it. As far as the post test goes, I don't recall it being that bad. Post any new juicy info you get from Darryl on the engine please.
Keith Browning
Arent all Ford training classes open book? Every one I have been to were. How do you call that hard?
Jim Warman
Arent all Ford training classes open book? Every one I have been to were. How do you call that hard? I've seen guys flunk the open book portion of the test out.... At every course we are reminded that a pass mark is 80% for the written portion... One attendee asked about the practical portion.... "Uhhhhh, you either fixed it or you didn't...".
deezul
A couple years back when I was doing basic electrical a handful of guys failed the written test...yikes!
DieselD
The 6.7 post test and hands on was stupid easy, maybe its because I already have a basic understanding on how things work with it. I had not worked on a 6.7 or had a piror knowledge of one when I took the class. I really dont know how you can fail a ford class unless you dont show up everyday. vloney
The post test I had was just to use the IDS to get a particular cylinders injector number.
Brad Clayton
Same here, it took about a minute and a half to do the hands on. The teacher would actually get frustrated if guys were working on the truck for more than 5 minutes.
Matt Saunoras
I was in the 2nd 6.7 class run in the area. We didn't even do a post test. By the time I actually got to work on one I had to go study the coffee table book to refresh my memory
