I hope you're not screwin around with me. If you're not, not only does the one I listed do the R134a but the R12 end will do the evap schrader valves. Works on my wife's 04' F-150 and my buddy's 03' excursion. I actually just had to use it for that. Imagine that, I'm still doing work like this on the side for my pals. Not that I want to. It's just one of those situations where you sometimes gotta help your friends out. I'm just trying to remember if the newest schrader valves have become fatter or wider. Posted Image

Ford did away with removing evap shraders and said the new valves can be damaged if you try to remove them, so I wouldn't bother with it.

You are quite right - the new engines mpstly have the VMVs attached directly to the inlet manifold - however I like to have the tools I like to have. Some of the jobs I get are........ I would guess "eclectic" might be close. I think where the most damage comes from is that the valve in a VMV is left hand thread.

Dwayne, I finally spent some time looking for my own self... New smoke machines always come with a core tool... OTC sells the CEA-049... Now I feel like I went to the restaraunt and cooked my own lunch....

We can get that tool for ya. Looks allot like the R134a/R12 tool but more money and I know the tool I listed works. Anyways, take care, have fun, keep your stick on the ice and never forget where the warm wet hole of youth and happiness lies and always keep it happy. Posted ImagePosted Image

I'm taking one of my three weeks starting right friggin' now.... Wound up having my day go right to the wire - getting out early would have been nice.

Momma wants to go camping but I think I spent enough time in the holiday trailer this year.... I had a burst of energy and have half the floor and some of the walls in the kitchen done... Will be starting on the bank where the sink and stove will be pretty quick and making changes to the plan for the island as well as modifying the pantry. I'd like to "ride the wave" while I can and get as much done as I can before I realize I'm getting too old for this shit.
